Scout Camp Pre - Ride Monday Sept 12th

Billy Moffett - Thursday, September 08, 2011

OK, let’s try this again.

There is a planed ride at the camp for Monday evening Sept 12th.

Weather reports indicate some clearing along with some sunshine by Sunday and Monday, hopefully this will dry things out somewhat. But, I expect it will be very Humid.

I'm out of town until Sunday night at the Peanut Tour down in Emporia - I'll not be avail to Internet, so I cannot reply to any ?'s

Normal meet up time of 5:30/6:00pm. Rules of Riding apply:

Rides are not sponsored by anyone or any group!
* You are Riding at YOUR OWN RISK and you ACCEPT full responsibility and consequences for your actions here!
* All riders are to sign in and record their vehicle plate # or vehicle description.
* If you travel out with someone you should record you name under the drivers name and the plate# or vehicle description.
* Any rider entering the trail after 7pm must have appropriate lights.
* Helmets Required!
* For your safety everyone must ride within a group of two or more, NO SOLO riding. If your ride buddy(s)don't show, join up with another ride group!
* Ride groups are expected to ride together - do not drop fellow riders unless someone stays back with the dropped person!
* We are guests here - behave and speak accordingly! Infractions of behavior expectations jeopardize the use of these trails for all!
* Rides are not officially led, if you don't know the way, ride with those that do - verify ahead of time that you can "hang" with the group that you start with, if not find another group to ride with.

One Other Thing since I'll be out of contact for a few days:

Sept 11 is Sunday! Hopefully you all remember that day - I personally believe that getting back to "Business as usual" is and was the wrong response to the memory of what was that day. But that's me.
However I will ask that each of you remember and act - not in anger, bitterness or hatred, but consider how you personally might become involved in some way to contribute and giveback, to buildup the goodness and value that remains within your community and country.

Hope to see you all on Monday, Sept 12th.

Later,
Ed
